In this game, you’ll try to say hi to a bird while someone you’re with tries to pet it and scares it away. It was written as a submission for the say hi to a bird game jam, hosted by Logan Timmins and the Lyrical Ludology podcast.

I read this game a month ago and I loved it. These days I found myself referencing it many times when introducing people to lyric games because of its clarity and beautiful win conditions.

Beautiful, as much a commentary on the challenges of parenthood as it is building relations with our avian friends.
As a son and as a father, I feel this game deeply. Is our responsibility to the bird any less than to our own child? What even is that responsibility? Thank you for evoking all these thoughts and feelings. What a perfect title and cover image, too!
